Recently, NACFOR donated to both the Nakusp and Area Youth Network and the Fauquier Volunteer Fire Department for projects supporting their communities.
Fauquier Volunteer Fire Department
The Fauquier Volunteer Fire Department provided S100 and S185 Forest Firefighting Training. This training was available to the other southern zone fire departments and took place in Fauquier in August.
Nakusp and Area Youth Network
The Nakusp and Area Youth Network received funding for summer programming expenses. Youth attended field trips for free with the Youth Network. They went to places like Sky Trek Adventure Park, and to play Disc Golf in Nelson.
