Save the Date: NACFOR’s Open House on May 21, 2026
NACFOR will host our annual open house on Thursday, May 21st, from 5:30-8pm.
This year, we are hosting at the Wensley Creek Recreation Area (within NACFOR’s tenure), where we will have information about the community forest and how it delivers economic, environmental, and social benefits to Nakusp and the area.
We are also offering a field tour in Wensley Creek to show the wildfire risk reduction work and forest management practices employed in that area. The field tour will start at 6pm, meet at the Wensley Creek parking lot.

Driving directions to Wensley Creek Recreation Area:
Follow Highway 6 to Upper Brouse Road, turn onto Upper Brouse Road and follow it to the top, to the Wensley Creek parking area.
