A fresh educational resource was just installed!
NACFOR recently created some signage for our Jackrabbit Interpretive Trail. The signage explains the wildfire risk reduction work and other forest management practices that were implemented in the Wensley Creek Recreation Area over the last couple of years.
As you hike the Jackrabbit Trail, stop along the way to learn about specific techniques at different sites and see before photos of the site. The signs explain forest management practices, wildfire risk reduction, ecosystem resilience, and how many different values are considered and managed for during forest operations.
The signs were created by NACFOR, printed by Ad. Venture Creative, and installed by Stevescapes. Thank you to the Outdoor Recreation Council of BC for the funding to create these signs!
