The BC Community Forest Association (BCCFA) annual Indicators Report is now published! The Indicators Report is annually compiled data that the BCCFA generates into a report for the public, stakeholders, and the community forests who contribute to the report by presenting compelling stories, engagement opportunities, and economic/ environmental benefits that community forests return to their communities.
This year is the 10 year anniversary of the Indicators Report, and the BCCFA has done a great job at presenting the year-over-year change and effect that communities forest have contributed.
The 18 indicators (measures of effect) are Number of Jobs; Total Economic Activity; Community Contributions; Funds Leveraged; Cut Control; Distribution of Log Sales; Investments in Intensive Silviculture; Economic Diversification; Community Accountability; Public Engagement; Investments in Community Education; Investments in Recreation; Proactive Management of Wildfire Hazard; Forest Worker Safety; First Nations Collaboration; Management of Sensitive Areas; Investments in Forest Stewardship; and Compliance with Environmental Standards.
